The Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) feature has been released for Galaxy Watch users in India. The application has been accessible on Galaxy Watches worldwide. However, government constraints prevented the registration and approval of the device in India. Samsung states that Galaxy Watch users will be able to have a more thorough understanding of their cardiac health.
Samsung Galaxy Watches’ Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification Feature
The wearable gadget already offers other health-related capabilities, like Blood Pressure and Electorcardiogram (ECG). Now, the new feature helps trace irregular heart rhythms.
How It Works?
After it is enabled, the feature utilizes the BioActive Sensor in the Galaxy Watch. Then it tracks the heartbeat to pick up irregularities in the rhythm. The watch notifies the user of a possible AFib activity if it senses an unusual heart rate. Next, users can obtain a precise measurement with the watch’s ECG feature.
Other than Galaxy AI-powered health insights, the watch also offers tools like ECG recordings on request. Its HR Alert function identifies heart rates that are unusually high or low.
Steps To Enable The IHRN Feature
To activate the irregular heart rhythm notification feature on your Galaxy Watch:
- Update the Samsung Health Monitor app from the Galaxy Store on your devices.
- Go to the Settings menu
- Enable the IHRN feature
Accessibility
A select few Galaxy watch models will get the new functionality. The recent Galaxy Watch Ultra, along with the Galaxy Watch7, Galaxy Watch6, Watch5, and Watch4 series, will be equipped with this capability.
