Google is increasing Gemini’s efficiency range in Gmail. Along with the already-available ‘Help Me Write’ option, Polish has been added. To access Gmail’s Polish feature, navigate to the toolbar. Then, click on the sparkly pencil icon. Other than polishing your draft, it also offers choices to enable the renewing and restoring of previously accessible notes.
With Gemini AI, you can modify informal notes into a professional draft. Moreover, upgrading your Android or iOS mobile devices will automatically add shortcuts to the ‘Refine My Draft’ and ‘Help Me Write’ tools.
How To Access These Functionalities?
To use ‘Help Me Write’ functionality, go to an empty email draft’s body, where it will be visible. Then choose options for further alterations.
The ‘Refine My Draft’ appears at the bottom of the email body when the word count of drafts exceeds twelve. This further provides options such as Polish, Formalize, Elaborate, and Shorten. Users can compose new drafts as well. You can swipe right on ‘Refine My Draft’ to go to the menu.
Availability
The latest updates were made public on the Google Workspace blog. Gmail’s Polish is available for the desktop as well as the mobile device versions. However, the shortcuts to ‘Help Me Write’ and ‘Refine My Draft’ are limited to iOS and Android.
Google Workspace users with Gemini Business and Enterprise extensions can exclusively access these. Google One Premium and Gemini Education and Education Premium extensions can also utilize these. Both administrators and users will have default access to these functionalities. It is not deactivable.
